Science meets entertainment: Science Slam inspires at the Dresden Science Night 2025
For this year's Dresden Science Night under the motto "The night that makes you smarter", TU Dresden invited visitors to a fascinating journey into the world of science at all its locations and with over 200 events on June 20, 2025.
The final highlight of the long night was once again the Science Slam at 10:30 pm, which attracted many visitors to the Alfred-Post-Hörsaal. On stage: five female scientists who presented their diverse research projects. The challenge: to present their own research in ten minutes in an understandable and entertaining way and win the favor of the audience.

The audience was taken on a variety of research journeys: from body structure plans from egg to quail and RNA "hitchhiking" in cell biology to physical models for more efficient mobility through more walking and ride sharing as well as cinematic episodes in the brain and the motivational situations of Georgian female founders.
Dr. Ina Hollerer from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics particularly inspired the audience. With wit and self-irony, she had the RNA hitchhike through the nerve cells. She was voted the winner of the evening with the loudest applause.

The Unit Diversity Management would like to congratulate and thank all participants and guests for a successful event that impressively highlighted the exciting research work of female scientists from the Dresden scientific community.
