Start of a new round of the event series "Gesellschaft im Dialog": Reading "Solidarität in Umbruchszeiten" with Dr. Olga Shparaga
After two successful years, our series of events „Gesellschaft im Dialog“ will start on 04.05.2022 at 6 pm with the reading "Solidarität in Umbruchszeiten Oder: Die Revolution hat ein weibliches Gesicht. Der Fall Belarus" with the Belarusian activist Dr. Olga Shparaga in a new and exciting round.
This year, the focus of the TU Dresden project, in which various civil society cooperation partners and academics engage in dialogue with a broad public in Saxony on a scientific basis, is on the topic of "Disruption, Belongings and Democratic Participation"; in particular, the transformation experiences of the years 1989/90 in Germany, but also processes of change beyond that, will be examined and discussed.
The first event, which will take place on 04.05.2020 at 6 pm at Frauenkultur Leipzig, is the reading „Solidarität in Umbruchszeiten Oder: Die Revolution hat ein weibliches Gesicht. Der Fall Belarus.“ with Dr Olga Shparaga. The Belarusian activist and philosopher reports on the women of the 2020 revolutionary events in Belarus and their stories of a power in solidarity rising up against dictatorial violence.
