Speakers wanted for Children's University
Why do planes not fall out of the sky? How did nomadic horsemen live in the Iron Age? Why do we vote? And how do we research what monkeys think? For over 20 years, the Dresden Children's University has been providing child-friendly insights into the world of science and is a well-known institution in Dresden and beyond.
To ensure that new and exciting questions are on the agenda every semester, the Children's University team is looking for scientists who would like to present their field of research in a child-friendly way. Recommendations are also welcome.
Together with Deutsches Hygiene-Museum, TU Dresden organizes four lectures each semester. The program is aimed at children aged 8 to 12. Around 500 young “students” attend the Children's University in the lecture hall each semester. In addition, around 200 children follow the lectures via live stream. The lectures last 45 minutes each.
If you are interested or have any questions, you can contact the Children's University team by email at or by phone at 32485.
