100 Years Bauhaus – Visit to Hellerau
The FestspielhausHellerau was founded as an educational institution for music and rhythm in 1911. Today it is one of the most important international centers of contemporary dance in Germany and Europe. In the year 2019 is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus. On Friday, October 25th, 2019 we would like to take you on a discovery of the typical architecture and after dinner together, invite you to experience a piece of contemporary performing arts: the play “I am not afraid of my communist past”. The authors take us back to their country of birth, the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, a country that has now been replaced by new states with different names – a retrospect to a piece of the European history.
