The Media Archives
Photographs of the history of the TU Dresden and its predecessor institutions are dated from the end of the 19th century until today.
Most passed-on documents date from the period between 1946 and 2000.
Together with the records of the university institutions integrated during the 1990s years, the University Archives now has about 600 000 photographic negatives, prints and slides to the university and science history in the Dresden area.
The collection increased considerably in April 2010 in connection with the acquisition of the photo archive of the former film and image lab (later Audiovisual Media Centre and today Media Centre) of TH / TU Dresden, as well as by the handing-over of about 400 CDs with photographs until the year 2000.
