Data management and artificial intelligence: About future challenges
From September 11th to 13th 2023, the Center for High Performance Computing and Information Services (ZIH) of the Technical University of Dresden and the ZKI e.V. invite you to the ZKI Autumn Conference 2023. Under the title "Data management and artificial intelligence: About the challenges of the future", an interesting program with lectures on current university-relevant issues in this range of topics awaits you in the "Hörsaalzentrum" of the TU Dresden.
Program
In addition to data management, storage and infrastructure, central aspects will also be software and virtualization in data centers. Another focus is the topic of artificial intelligence and data analysis with specialist lectures on current trends and developments.
At the two evening events in the heart of Dresden, you will have the opportunity to network and to let your impressions fade away together with the other conference participants.

The central long-distance train stations in Dresden are Dresden-Hauptbahnhof, Dresden-Neustadt and Dresden-Mitte.
Ideally, Dresden's main train station (Dresden-Hbf) is the best place to go. This is a 20-minute walk or 7-minute bus ride from the lecture hall center.

By car
The A4, A13, A14, A17 motorways connect nearby cities with Dresden. You can reach the HSZ directly via the federal road B170.
There are no larger central parking facilities on the TUD premises. However, you can stop at almost all of the nearby roadsides of the secondary roads. Helmholzstraße, Hettnerstraße or George-Bähr-Straße are ideal options.

The confirmation of registration should be carried with you when you arrive and register. This is especially true if public transport is used to get there.
You will receive the badge for the conference when you register on site. This is also valid as a ticket for the duration of the conference.
Unfortunately, there are no parking spaces on the university premises and there are few in the surrounding streets. Please use public transport or the multi-storey car park about 750 m away on Zellescher Weg 17. (Day ticket EUR 3)
For the lunch break on the 11th of september the Mensa Matrix and the Mensa Zeltschlösschen of the TU Dresden are planned.

The exact menu for both canteens will be published a week in advance.
There is a supervised checkroom in the "Hörsaalzentrum" throughout the conference. It is located in the basement of the building.
In addition to jackets and bags, it will also be possible to check in larger luggage (e.g. suitcases).
The TU Dresden has been one of the German Universities of Excellence since 2012. It offers a wide range of courses at 18 faculties and covers a wide range of research.
The ZIH is responsible for the communication infrastructure of the TU Dresden and operates the central IT infrastructure services and servers. In addition, as an interdisciplinary center, it supports the faculties in all IT-related areas. As a competence center for high-performance computing and big data, the ZIH provides special resources for HPC and data analysis and offers support and advice for this. The focus is on supporting users in optimizing scientific applications and developing new methods for solving scientific and technical research questions. The ZIH carries out extensive research and development work and is networked nationally and internationally.
