Service Desk

The Service Desk is the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all employees, students and guests of TU Dresden regarding all centrally offerd services. The staff at the service desk assist you with all of your questions regarding the services on offer. Requests which cannot be answered immediately will be noted by the staff and are handed over to the respective experts. You will then recieve a ticket number (just as you would for questions asked via email) from the Ticketsystem. With this ticket number you can learn more details about the current processing status of your question.

Services from the Service Desk
The following services are provided at the service desk concerning the IT services of the TUD:
- personal consultation for questions regarding the services of the TUD
- help for the activation of your ZIH login in the Self Service Portal
- Resetting your password
- Help with the application and setup of PKI-Zertifikaten
- setup of WiFi/VPN
- editing plotting orders
- Support regarding notebook rental
- help with the planning or arrangement of IT resources, consolidation of servers, relocation to other buildings, as well as application of large devices, and other consultation services
- consultation regarding the right choice and configuration of PC work stations, virtualization, networking and server consolidation
- help with the application of IT equipment
