Conditions of participation and privacy policy for ZIH training courses
§ 1 Scope
These Conditions of Participation apply to participation in an event of the ZIH training series for the use of the IT services offered.
§ 2 Registration and conclusion of contract
Your registration is legally binding either via the TU Dresden continuing education catalog or via the platforms specified there. By registering, you accept these conditions of participation. After your registration has been processed, you will receive a confirmation of registration. The contract is concluded with the confirmation of registration.
§ 3 Number of participants
The number of participants is generally limited. Registrations are generally considered in the order in which they are received.
§ 4 Participation fee/ Prevention of participation
(1) The ZIH training courses are free of charge.
(2) Cancellation of registration is possible either via the platform used for registration by unsubscribing or in writing by e-mail to the ZIH. Cancellation at short notice (i.e. less than 5 working days before the start of the event) is only permitted for serious reasons (e.g. illness). If participation is not possible at short notice, the ZIH must be informed. In the event of non-participation despite registration, the ZIH reserves the right to exclude the persons concerned from further events of the qualification program. If you are unable to participate, you can transfer your right to participate to a substitute, who must register with the ZIH.
§ 5 Confirmation of participation
A confirmation of participation will be issued and handed out if you have participated in at least 80 % of the training program.
§ 6 Changes to dates/program, cancellation of the course
(1) The ZIH is entitled to postpone or cancel a training course for good cause, e.g. if a certain number of participants is not reached. If the event is postponed, you have the right to withdraw from the course. There is no legal entitlement to the implementation of the course. In any case, you will be informed immediately.
(2) The ZIH reserves the right to change the program for important reasons. In justified cases, the ZIH is entitled to have the event conducted by lecturers other than those specified.
§ 7 Liability
There is no insurance cover for participants in a ZIH continuing education course. The ZIH therefore accepts no liability for personal injury, property damage or financial loss incurred during the course. Otherwise, TU Dresden is only liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
Employees of TU Dresden who attend a continuing education course in their official interest are insured as normal.
§ 8 Documents provided
Documents and software provided or made available by the ZIH as part of the continuing education program may not be reproduced or processed using electronic systems, copied, distributed or used for public reproduction without the written permission of the ZIH.
