As a public body in the sense of the Barrier-Free Websites Act (BfWebG), Dresden University of Technology strives to make its websites and mobile applications accessible without barriers in accordance with the provisions of the BfWebG in conjunction with the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0).
Creation of this accessibility statement
This declaration was created on 12/22/2020 and last updated on 12/22/2020. The basis for the creation of this accessibility statement is a BITV self-assessment conducted by TU Dresden on 04.12.2020 in the period from 30.11.2020 to 04.12.2020.
Accessibility status
This website is partially compliant with the requirements of the BfWebG in conjunction with BITV 2.0 due to the following incompatibilities and/or exceptions.
Non-accessible content
- The toolbar and slide navigation icons in the presentation area have help texts that are also displayed when using the keyboard, but they themselves are not highlighted when they have focus.
- In a full-screen presentation, the content that is no longer visible is still accessible via keyboard.
- Drop-down lists are sometimes not visually recognizable as such.
- Drawing via keyboard is not possible.
- The designation "Unlock" is misleading and should accordingly better be called "Unlock microphone".
- The webcam's permission sharing in the web browser is not operable.
- Going back via Shift + Tab from the participant list is not possible.
- Browser zoom may cause the toolbar to no longer be fully visible. The content may no longer be movable and changing tools may no longer be possible.
- Assigning participants to breakout rooms is not possible via keyboard operation.
- Flipping toggles in settings dialogs is not possible via keyboard control.
- The welcome message in public chat does not have sufficient contrast.
