Software Tracing on Cell/B.E. Processors

An extended version of the Open Source performance monitor VampirTrace can be used to trace Cell/B.E. applications. SPE threads and their respective DMA and mailbox communication are included in the traces that can be visualized using Vampir. This framework supports MPI programs and large scale parallel trace analysis.
