Event: Strengths and Stress in Everyday Teaching—On Roles, Resources, and Solutions on December 4, 2026
PantherMedia / moodboard
No money, little time—these are just two examples of the challenges you face every day as a teacher. In the workshop “Strengths and Stress in Everyday Teaching—On Roles, Resources, and Solutions,” you’ll address your current challenges in everyday teaching through a combination of peer discussion and expert insights. Together with your colleagues, you’ll take a structured look at common problem areas in teaching and constructively develop potential ideas and starting points.
Our guest speaker, Andreas Franze, Vice Rector for Teaching and Academic Affairs and Chair of Construction Mechanics and Structural Dynamics at HTW Dresden, will present an approach in his lecture on “Mindfulness in Higher Education” that consciously designs teaching to focus not only on subject-specific content, by, among other things, integrating stress-reduction elements into teaching.
After a lunch break, you’ll have the opportunity to connect what you’ve heard with your own teaching priorities and strengths. You’ll also gain ideas for teaching methods and digital tools that can be easily integrated into your lesson planning, delivery, or follow-up with minimal time investment.
Date: December 4, 2026, 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Location: Fritz-Foerster Building (FOE), Room 101
We look forward to your participation!
