Invitation to FOSTER grantees: Experience business games in Tharandt on October 27, 2025

On October 27, 2025, all Fund for Student Research (FOSTER ) grantees are cordially invited to take part in the Tharandt Talks simulation games. As part of the non-material funding, this format offers the opportunity to combine scientific perspectives with practical decision-making situations and to strengthen skills such as teamwork, communication and solution-oriented thinking.

In the simulation games, participants slip into the roles of stakeholders from forestry and environmental sciences - and experience first-hand how complex ecological, economic and social interests interact. Whether sustainable forest management, investments in line with the SDGs, founding a "green start-up" or shaping a new planet: The topics are as diverse as they are topical.

External partners from practice and research are actively involved, present themselves with stands in the Judeichbau and offer numerous points of contact for discussions and networking. In this way, the Tharandt simulation games create a learning environment in which knowledge, creativity and experience come together.

All FOSTER grantees and interested parties from the forestry and environmental sciences are cordially invited to take part, play and think along.
