HackathOERn x University x Science - May 11 to 13, 2026

How must infrastructures be designed so that OER and OEP can develop their full potential in higher education? This is precisely where the HackathOERn project comes in: In an open, community-based innovation process, needs, ideas and solution approaches are collected, bundled and further developed together.

The third HackathOERn focuses on universities and academic perspectives on OER/OEP-promoting infrastructures. Teachers, students, infrastructure facilities and university-related stakeholders such as the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education and the Hochschulforum Digitalisierung (HFD) contribute practical knowledge. At the same time, scientific impulses from the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK), among others, are taken up.

Idea labs, a call for ideas and an active community approach will create concrete approaches for sustainable open educational infrastructures.
