Tutoring Day: Thank you to all tutors and trainers!

On June 5, we celebrated Tutoring Day - a special occasion to show our appreciation for those who enrich everyday student life with their commitment, expertise and great reliability: tutors and tutor trainers make an indispensable contribution to academic teaching and collaborative learning at TU Dresden.

The nationwide day of action, initiated by the Tutoring Network, took place for the sixth time this year and recognizes the outstanding work of student teachers at universities. We also used this day to express our thanks - for their daily commitment, patience, expertise and willingness to create learning spaces in which exchange and active participation are possible.

This year, the day of tutorial work took us to the campus in Tharandt, the central location of the forest sciences. Together with Dean of Studies Prof. Marieke van der Maaten-Theunissen, we were able to impressively demonstrate how diverse and important student teaching formats are.

Another highlight was the information stand in the foyer of the Alte Mensa, which our TUTORING hybrid team set up together with Diversity Management. The personal exchange with students - especially with committed tutors - was very important to us. We are pleased to have made a contribution to the visibility and recognition of tutoring work at TU Dresden with this day of action.
