EPOS - Escape The Ordinary: Professionalizing teaching through playful learning formats
In the EPOS project, learning opportunities are being developed and tested outside of the course structure, with a focus on (digital) Educational Escape Rooms (EER). This innovative form of game-based collaborative learning enables students and lecturers to develop a wide range of skills.
Aims
The project aims to develop digital skills in students with the help of innovative learning formats. A particular focus is on the empowerment of women and FLINTA persons. In addition, the didactic concept of EER is to be conveyed to teachers and student teachers in order to enable sustainable development.
Implementation
- EPOS 1: Digital Skills Unlocked
In analog, digital and hybrid learning formats, participants acquire digital skills by searching for and evaluating information or producing content themselves. - EPOS 2: Level Up your teaching game!
In application-oriented learning opportunities, TU Dresden teachers and student teachers learn how they can integrate EER or game-based learning into their own teaching. - EPOS 3: Mission Visibility
In this EER, participants play out the professional biographies of female scientists. The aim is to make female role models visible and to raise awareness of social contexts and developments.
