Competence-Oriented Teaching in STEM Degree Programs

Tutors play an important role in university teaching and significantly contribute to improving teaching quality. In addition to their subject knowledge, it is also essential that tutors are able to plan and design their teaching in a methodologically sound way.
This workshop is aimed at tutors in STEM subjects who wish to further develop their didactic skills. Special emphasis is placed on the practical applicability of the presented concepts and methods, as well as on peer exchange.

• be able to plan tutorials using the concept of Constructive Alignment

• be able to motivate students in a way that suits the situation

• know activating methods and online tools

• be able to support active learning processes using the principle of minimal help

• know the basics of classroom management
