The Academic Council
The functions, tasks and competencies of the Academic Council are regulated and described in the Regulations for the Management and Operation of the Center for International Studies (ZIS). In its function as the highest decision-making body of the ZIS, the Academic Council issues guidelines to fulfill the tasks incumbent upon the ZIS and advises on the structure of research cooperation. It decides on the development plan, the statement of accounts and, taking into account proposals from the Study Commission, changes to module descriptions. The Academic Council also decides on proposals for the amendment or creation of study and examination regulations, the planning of courses and the teaching report. The Academic Council is also responsible for advising the Academic Director on all matters relating to the fulfillment of the ZIS's tasks.
