Internships and Semesters Abroad
Internships
Students and graduates complete internships to gain practical professional experience. In addition to acquiring expertise, this offers the opportunity to gain an insight into future professional fields and at the same time make contacts that can make it easier to start a career later on.

Semester Abroad
An integral part of the International Relations degree program is a one- to two-semester study period at a foreign university.
This takes place at an institution of your choice. The Center for International Studies offers exclusive places for IR students within its own cooperations. Here you can find a list of the approximately 30 university partners of the CIS in Europe and beyond.
You can also apply for other programs, such as TUD Worldwide. Please note the different application deadlines!
At the beginning of each winter semester, there is an information event for students in the 3rd semester on the organization of the 5th semester. This will be held for Bachelor's students on October 23, 2024. You can find more information and the guidelines for your digital application in the Mobility Online portal linked below.
