Schullogin
Schullogin is the state's standardized identity management system (IDM) and is provided free of charge by the Saxon State Ministry of Culture (SMK) as an entry portal to the central digital and pedagogical services for all pupils, trainee teachers and teachers at Saxon schools. The operation, support and further development of the Schullogin service and the corresponding services have been carried out on behalf of the State Ministry since 01.01.2021 at the Center for Teacher Education and Educational Research (ZLSB) and in cooperation with the Center for Information Services and High Performance Computing (ZIH).
The SMK and TU Dresden have been cooperating since 1997 in the area of conceptual development, support and long-term operation of the Saxon Education Server (SBS) and the Saxon School Database (SSDB).
Schullogin is firmly anchored in the SMK's "Media education and digitalization in schools" concept (SMK, 2017).
Objective
The following core tasks are implemented at the ZLSB:
- Operation of infrastructure services (login, email, cloud, video conferencing) in collaboration with the SBS and the ZIH
- Further development of the identity management system in terms of content and technology
- Connection of further individual services, including LernSax
- Connection of further third-party services via the mediation service for digital identity management at schools (VIDIS), including Hubbs, eLearning Module Saxony
- Participation in cross-state projects in the DigitalPakt Schule
- Application consulting and further training offers for users in Saxon schools
- Further development of support structures with the involvement of media education centers
- Transfer to permanent structures at the State Office for Schools and Education
