How do universities increase their students' study success? A new publication reports on experiences at TU Dresden
At the TU Dresden a variety of practical measures were tested over five years with the aim to reduce the number of dropouts. In a new book 41 scientists, project staff and further responsible members of the university present twelve of these measures in detail. They report on obstacles and successes in their attempts to avoid dropouts. The measures range from digital and data-supported approaches to counselling-oriented and diagnostic services to the improvement of study ability through more effective learning and the targeted enhancement of writing skills.
The anthology entitled "Ways to Study Success" has now been published by TUDpress in printed form and as an Open Access publication: Schulze-Stocker, F., Schäfer-Hock, C. & Greulich, H. (Hrsg.) (2020). Wege zum Studienerfolg. Analysen, Maßnahmen und Perspektiven an der Technischen Universität Dresden 2016-2020. Dresden: TUDpress. (in german)
