[PM] Transaction-safe Causal Connections for Models@run.time
Models@run.time denotes the vision to transfer established design-time techniques from model-driven software development to the runtime of the respective systems under construction. Systems based on Models@run.time typically have a runtime model representing the current state of the reflected system. This runtime model is connected with the system by a causal connection, i.e., changes in the model are propagated to the system and vice versa. The goal of this research project is to investigate how to ensure transactional properties (ACID) for the causal connection between a runtime model and a system. For this, as a first step, a detailed literature analysis has to be conduced. The following tasks have to be fulfilled:
- Finding research papers on how to realize the causal connection
- Finding research prototypes which have an implementation of the causal connection
- Identifying requirements for the causal connection
- Comparing the found approaches with each other
- Pointing out the challenges for a transaction-safe causal connection
