[MA] Analyzing distributed processes of CPS in MAPE-K loops
The goal of this thesis is to extend the PROtEUS process execution system with the capability of distributed process execution. The thesis investigates the applicability of MAPE-K loops for ensuring conformance of distributed process execution on peers. The MAPE-K phases have to be identified and solutions for implementing these phases should be proposed with respect to distributed execution. Focus should be put on the Monitor and Analyze phases to detect inconsistencies between the process execution on the peers and the expected execution based on the corresponding process model. The application of process mining techniques based on monitoring data at runtime shall be evaluated and implemented. In case of non-conformance or timeouts, adaptations strategies shall be proposed in order compensate for these errors. The PROtEUS extension should be evaluated in a Smart Home scenario using a mobile robot as a peer for process execution and a stationary computer as super-peer that implements the MAPE-K control loop.
