Welcoming another doctoral student to the RTG
Inês Sousa de Almeida, who joined the RTG on January 1, 2025, brings a strong academic foundation to the Boysen-TU Dresden-Research Training Group. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto.
Currently, Ms. Almeida is a member of the Cluster F: "Impact H2 Green", specifically in the sub-project F1: "Technological-systemic impact of the hydrogen economy". In this role, she will analyze the technological-systemic feasibility of hydrogen economy, investigate the framework conditions for material requirements, recycling and the impact on biodiversity.
The new doctoral student will be supervised by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Beckmann at the Chair of Energy Process Engineering in the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering at TU Dresden. Thanks to her great passion for environmental technology, especially in the energy sector, Ms. Almeida has set herself the goal of contributing with her research work to the transition to a green hydrogen economy by closing relevant research gaps in the above-mentioned field and providing important information on this topic. She is looking forward to developing both personally and professionally while making a significant contribution to the field.
Ms. Almeida is very grateful for the warm and welcoming atmosphere she has experienced at the Boysen-TU Dresden-Research Training Group:
"The friendliness and support of the team have made my transition into the new academic environment very easy and I really feel part of it. I am eager to expand my knowledge and improve my skills, especially in programming, so that I can effectively apply my studies and ideas to real-world problems."
We warmly welcome our new doctoral student to the Boysen-TU Dresden-Research Training Group. We look forward to Inês Almeida's contribution to our research community and are confident that she will advance her projects.
