Reinforcement for Cluster H
The fourth Boysen-TU Dresden Research Training Group is pleased to welcome a new doctoral student as of October 1, 2023.
Julia Erdmann joined Cluster H "Techno-economic modeling of hydrogen value networks" this week. In her research work over the next three years, she will focus on the topic H1 "Mathematical optimization models for the design and analysis of cross-sectoral hydrogen value networks and regional transformation", which focuses on the quantitative modeling and optimization of future H2 supply chains. Junior Professorship in Business Administration, esp. Management Science at the Faculty of Business and Economics at TU Dresden, Prof. Tristan Becker, will be responsible for the supervision.
As part of her final thesis, Ms Erdmann already had the opportunity to deal with her research topic and create a mathematical optimization model for a local hydrogen value chain based on hydrogen production from biomass. During this time, she has been a regular visitor to the Boysen-TU Dresden Research Training Group.
"Over the last five months, I was able to gain a comprehensive insight into the subject area through my thesis and at the same time settle into the team in advance. That was a great opportunity for me. I am very grateful that I was accepted into the funding program and that I can seamlessly follow on from my studies with my doctorate."
She is looking forward to continuing to work intensively on the topic in the coming years and expanding her scientific knowledge. She hopes to be able to make a practical contribution through her research.
We would like to congratulate Julia Erdmann on successfully completing her studies and look forward to working with her in the future.
