Information on compensation for disadvantages
Disabled and chronically ill students have been granted a framework to adequately manage their studies in terms of compensation for disadvantages, which is explained in detail in the examination regulations.
According to §5 of the examination regulations for the Landscape Architecture degree program, students who:
(3) If the student credibly demonstrates that they are unable to take examinations in full or in part in the intended form due to a prolonged or permanent physical disability or chronic illness, they shall be permitted by the Chairperson of the Examination Committee to take the examinations within an extended processing time or in an equivalent manner. A medical certificate and, in cases of doubt, an official medical certificate may be required for this purpose. The same applies to preliminary examination work.

(4) If the student can credibly demonstrate that they are unable to take examinations as prescribed due to the care of their own children up to the age of 14 or the care of close relatives, the Chairperson of the Examination Committee shall allow the student to take the examinations in an equivalent manner upon request. Close relatives are children, parents, grandparents, spouses and partners. The Chairperson of the Examination Committee, in consultation with the responsible examiner, shall decide at his or her own discretion how the examination is to be taken. Suitable measures to compensate for disadvantages may include, for example, extended processing times, breaks in processing, use of other media, use of other examination rooms within the university or a different examination date. The same applies to preliminary examination work.
