General Erasmus
What is Erasmus+ (Europe)?
The ERASMUS exchange program enables you as a student of the Technische Universität Dresden to spend a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 12/24 months abroad in countries within and some countries outside the EU. During this time you will receive financial and organizational support.

ERASMUS exchange places are available annually for architecture students at TUD Dresden University of Technology. The current exchange places can be researched via the Mobility Online Portal.
Requirements for participation
- Enrolment at the TU Dresden
You must be enrolled as a full degree student at TU Dresden. This can also be a doctoral program. - Study progress
Are you enrolled in an undergraduate degree program? Then you must have completed the first year of study.
This restriction does not apply to Master's students. - Good academic performance
You should have a good academic record at the time of your application. Specific grade requirements are not defined. - Language skills
Your language level in the language of instruction should be good enough for you to follow the lectures and seminars at the partner university.

Funding
You will receive a monthly grant (officially: mobility allowance) for the duration of your stay abroad. The amount depends on the cost of living in the host country and is graded according to country groups. This allowance is granted regardless of your income. You can count on this support, divided into country groups.

- ERASMUS Europe: January to March 15
(for the following academic year, i.e. for the coming winter or summer semester) It is possible to apply for REST PLACES in a second application procedure. The internal faculty deadline for this is September 1st.
Application documents
- Proof of previous course of study (e.g. overview of grades)
- Curriculum vitae in tabular form
- Letter of motivation, if possible in German or English (no longer than 1 page DIN A4, font size 10pt, normal margins and line spacing)
- Proof of knowledge of the language of instruction at the host university (requirements vary)
- Portfolio showing your best drafts and achievements in your studies to date
- Possibly the Learning Agreement with your signature. As a rule, 30 ECTS credit points are required for one semester and 60 ECTS credit points for a full academic year.
Note: You can apply for up to 3 partner universities (first choice, second choice, third choice); this method allows us to make the selection as targeted as possible.
Application process
The application process takes place entirely online via the Mobility Online Portal, as described in the Application Guide Part 1 and, after acceptance, in the Erasmus+ Application Guide Mobility Online.
Places are allocated after the application deadline.
Once you have received positive feedback from the Erasmus officer, you will be nominated at the partner university, i.e. your name will be forwarded to the partner university.
You will then contact the partner university independently in order to be informed about the relevant registration formalities and finally to register at the host university.
You will only be admitted to the Erasmus program once you have received confirmation from the partner university!
