"Smart City EXPO World Congress" Barcelona 2023: WISSENARCHITEKTUR presented strategies, roadmaps und 3D models
At this year's Smart City EXPO World Congress in Barcelona (November 7-9) WISSENSARCHITEKTUR - Laboratory of Knowledge Architecture provided a Crash-Course on How-To Co-Create your smart city strategy.
M.Sc. Arjama Mukherjee and Dr. Paul R. Stadelhofer, joining strategic research partners from Hamburg's HCU Digital City Science Team, offered participants a focused approach to shape their Smart City and Smart Region strategies.
Delegates from diverse countries took a hands-on crash course, swiftly identifying key stakeholders and delving into practical insights on agile innovation within the public sector. The outcome? Individual roadmaps primed for potential implementation.
"Smart-City-Driving Licene" und 3D-Modell der eigenen Stadt
At the end of the crash course, the participants received a "Smart City driving licence" as a (symbolic) certificate - a little fun that was well received. They were also able to use the WISSENSARCHITEKTUR co-design tool U_CODE to redesign their own urban environment - using the Open Street Map LOD2 data - which was intended to inspire innovation beyond the immediate setting.
A key goal for the event was not only to provide orientation but also to serve as a focal point for potential strategies and hands-on inspiration. Support in using methods of digital participation was provided and will be offered by the Urban Co-Design Operational Unit & Services (OPUS).
Exchange with Taiwan, Brasil, Poland
The WISSENSARCHITEKTUR team had a lively exchange with representatives from cities in Germany (Stuttgart, Berlin-Kreuzberg, etc.) and international cities (Taiwan, Brazil, Poland, etc.). The discussions echoed the collaborative spirit inherent in events like the Smart City EXPO World Congress. Together, strategies were explored, roadmaps outlined, and 3D models distributed. The collaboration with HCU Hamburg's "stand partners" is also set to continue.
