Excursion to Solarwatt with guided tour through module production

On 27.06.2022 the students of the modules "Sustainable Construction" and "Energy Efficient Buildings" could get interesting insights into the company Solarwatt and their new production line for monocrystalline photovoltaic (PV) modules.

At the beginning, the students were given an overview of the Solarwatt company and the potential contribution that photovoltaics can make to a climate-neutral society. This was followed by a guided tour with interesting insights into the new highly automated PV module production line.

Two subsequent keynote presentations on building-integrated photovoltaics as well as on the life cycle analysis of PV modules and Solarwatt's sustainability strategy provided excellent entry points for a concluding round of questions and discussion.
