Large-scale robot-based 3D-printer soon to arrive at the Institute of Building Construction
In Autumn 2021 a large-scale 3D-printer will be installed at the Institute of Building Construction. This equipment is funded through a succesfull InfraPro grant application at SAB - EFRE. The acquired robot-based polymer 3D-printing system has a heated printbed of 4x2m and a build-height of about 2m. The printer will be used for our research into thin glass composite panels and several other research projects within Civil Engineering and other disciplines. The render above, shows the system of CEAD Group placed in our Friedrich-Siemens Laboratory at the Institute of Building Construction, Faculty of Civil Engineering, TU Dresden.
