Visit by plane
From the Dresden airport there is a direct S-Bahn connection (line S2) to the main station in the city centre (train every 30 minutes, travel time 22 minutes, costs €2.40). The S-Bahn station is located in the lower ground floor of the terminal building. Taxi and transfer services can be found in front of the terminal building. From the Dresdner main station the campus can be reached by foot (walking time 20 minutes). Furthermore, you can take the bus line 66 (direction Mockritz) until the stop Fritz-Förster-Platz (TU Dresden) or the tram line 3 (direction Coschütz)/ line 8 (direction Südvorstadt) until the stop Nürnberger Platz.
Visit by train
From the Dresdner main station the campus can be reached by foot (walking time 20 minutes). Visit by car
The most uncomplicated way to reach the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering is via the motorway A17. Coming from the motorway A4 take the exit Dreieck Dresden-West and follow the signs to Prague. Take the exit Dresden-Südvorstadt and at the first traffic light turn left onto the B170. Follow the B170 until the 5. traffic light crossing and turn left into Mommsenstraße. At the end of the road turn right into Helmholtzstraße. Turn right onto the campus at the second entry (gate!). Follow the small road until its end (approx. 200m) at a parking area. The two-storied Neuffer-Bau is located on the left-hand side.
Note: A direct access to the institute building is only possible with a permission (gate!). At the campus the parking spaces are limited!
