Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Jehle
Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Jehle took over the Chair of Civil Engineering on 01.10.2001. Peter Jehle studied civil engineering at the University of Stuttgart, specialising in structural engineering. As a senior employee, he worked in the field of plant dismantling, mainly in the chemical industry. In 1989 he completed his doctorate as a research assistant to Prof. Kuhne in Essen. Since 1990, Professor Jehle has been self-employed, first as a minority shareholder in a medium-sized company specialising in civil engineering, remediation of contaminated sites and land recycling, industrial and power plant demolition, and from 1995 in engineering planning with his own engineering office for project planning and control.
After more than 21 years as a professor, Professor Jehle is retiring as planned on 01 April 2023.
