Two-day excursion to the Lindner Group
On 29–30 October 2025, we took a group of students specialising in construction management and building energy management from the 5th to 9th semesters to visit the Lindner Group at its headquarters in Arnstorf. During these two days, we had the opportunity to gain theoretical insights into forward-looking topics in the construction industry as well as practical insights into the production and installation of finishing systems.
The first day was all about innovative approaches for the construction industry of tomorrow. First, students were introduced to the concept of sustainable and circular construction. The focus was on how materials and systems can be designed in closed cycles to conserve resources and minimise environmental impact. This was followed by a discussion of new contract models such as integrated project management (IPA), which, as an example of cooperative collaboration in construction projects, represent an alternative to traditional contract forms.
On the second day, the students were able to experience first-hand what sets the Lindner Group apart. During a factory tour, they gained exciting insights into the production of typical products such as raised floors, ceiling panels and partition wall systems. In the subsequent workshop, they got hands-on experience – from installing a raised floor to setting up a partition wall system, the students were able to learn about the practical requirements of installation and understand the importance of careful planning for a smooth process.
The Institute of Construction Management would like to thank all participating students for their commitment and, in particular, Lindner for their warm welcome, practical insights and intensive professional exchange.
