"Vision2028" at the conference of the German Association of Women Engineers

On 13 November 2021, we had the honour of representing the BMBF-funded project "Vision2028" (FKZ 01FP21011) with a stand at the conference "Stadt Klima Wandel" (City Climate Change) organised by the German Association of Women Engineers from 12-14 November 2021 in Berlin. In addition to our staff members, Natalia Bienkowski and Sabrina May, two of our female students also took part in the conference.
The aim of participating in the conference was to present the "Vision2028" project. This project deals with women civil engineers and their achievements in the past and present. The project was introduced to women in engineering and a variety of ideas were exchanged for our research. In the future, female students and schoolgirls are to be activated, motivated and inspired by the subject of civil engineering through events and campaigns.
At the conference, interesting lectures were listened to, exciting discussions were held and valuable contacts were made. The lecture on the urban planning concept Berlin TXL will remain in my memory as particularly inspiring.
