The project Vision2028 links the past and future of female civil engineers. In 1928, the first female civil engineer began her work. Currently, in 2020, hardly any female role models are known. The vision for the year 2028 is therefore to be actively shaped by the project. First, innovative contributions of women in civil engineering will be researched and identified historically from 1928 to the present. On this basis, a model networking and interest group of women in civil engineering will be established. It serves to network schoolgirls, prospective students, female students as well as women in professional life through new formats. The competence of female experts will thus become more visible to the public and the professional world. The inclusion of these women in expert circles or the attainment of certain professional positions will thus become more likely. The young women in the study as well as the pupils are to be activated professionally and brought into responsibility in cooperation with the experts. This is done concretely through formats such as lecture series, panel discussions as well as a forum for student construction research. At the end of the project, the model group will be led to independent continuation so that innovative women can continue to be identified and made visible.
