Abstract:
In this paper, a cost analysis of a completed carbon concrete project is carried out. The carbon concrete project is the hypar shell in Magdeburg. The hypar shell is a shell construction composed of four hyperbolic paraboloids and is being reinforced with carbon concrete in the course of renovation work. The focus of the work lies on the one hand in the cost consideration and on the other hand in the determination of effort values.
The basics of cost consideration consist of acquiring knowledge for costs and calculation and, on the other hand, internalising the topic of determining the cost value. In addition, the basic knowledge of the material carbon concrete is explained and then the special process of reinforcing with carbon concrete is dealt with. Before starting to work on the main points, the project is introduced with its special features, the historical development and the actual state.
After the basics have been discussed, the elaboration of effort values follows. This is done with the help of calculation tables, project-related construction diaries and a personally conducted time study. After the determination of the cost values, the costs of the carbon concrete-related work carried out are examined. Here, the main focus was on the composition of the costs and the costs ultimately incurred.
With the help of the cost values and the cost analysis, it was then possible to generate various unit prices or cost parameters that can be used as a basis for future construction projects. The elaborated cost values can in turn be used as a basis for future calculations in consulting, planning and construction companies.
