Abstract:
The diploma thesis includes the application of digital planning in construction.
BIM models are increasingly used in the planning phase. These preliminary planning services are often not passed on to the construction companies. In principle, construction companies can use BIM throughout the execution phase. Construction companies must identify the subject areas for which it is interesting and economical to use BIM in connection with their projects.
The aim of this work is first to identify the topics and the different areas of application for which the use of BIM in construction companies is possible and relevant. The associated changes in the way of working as well as the benefits for the construction company are identified. The second objective of this work is to identify the necessary information needs of the construction companies to the different planners in order to make the best use of BIM in the construction phase.
Two projects carried out by Eiffage are analysed in relation to the objectives in order to find out what a company can realise with BIM and what advantages it brings.
