Abstract:
In this paper, the indirect effects of road construction measures are evaluated. The focus is on the analysis of the different indirect cost types of road construction measures, the difference between the road construction methods with concrete construction and asphalt construction and the final monetary evaluation of the economic costs. Furthermore, the influence of the choice of traffic routing and any acceleration measures on their impact on the indirect costs of the construction measure is examined. The determined indirect effects of construction measures are stated as total costs and named as average costs per passenger-kilometre and tonne-kilometre. The allocation is made to the motor vehicle types passenger car, truck and tractor-trailer. The total economic costs are considered and monetarily evaluated with regard to the different life cycles and the necessary construction measures of the two road construction methods. The indirect costs can be reduced on the basis of the shortening of construction times through acceleration measures.
