Am 5. November 2024 fand an der TU Dresden das 6. Industrieseminar zum Thema Beton-3D-Druck statt. Die Veranstaltung markierte das 10-jährige Jubiläum der Forschungsaktivitäten im Bereich der additiven Fertigung mit Beton an der TU Dresden.

Replacement of the professorship for Construction management

Following the retirement of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rainer Schach, the professorship for Construction Management and the management of the institute of the same name will be taken over by Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. Jens Otto from May 2017. He studied civil engineering at TU Dresden and City University London as well as industrial engineering at FernUniversität Hagen.

Current Research Projects

A research focus of the Institute of Construction Management that has been worked on for years concerns the support of construction site processes in general, specifically with RFID technology. The aim is to use consistent information in combination with Building Information Modelling (BIM) for planning, execution and management processes. The current focus at the institute is the innovative building material "carbon concrete", which is being investigated in several research projects.

The team of 16 members of staff, additional external visiting lecturers and Honorary Professors is highly motivated and skilled.
