Cooperation with TU Eindhoven and TTK University of Applied Sciences
Our institute is delighted to announce a new collaboration with Eindhoven University of Technology (TuE) and TTK University of Applied Sciences (TTK UAS) under the European Horizon program "Widening Participation and Spreading Excellence" through the project - EXEP3D (link).
In collaboration with TuE, our institute will focus on advancing 3D concrete printing technologies with primary objective to strengthen the research and technological expertise of TTK UAS, equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to lead advancements in this rapidly evolving field.
Aivars Alt, Project manager of EXEP3D said, “Cooperation with leading universities gives us unique knowledge in the field of 3D concrete printing and development of local mixes. The project has the potential to renew the entire field of construction technology, providing the Estonian construction industry with a competitive advantage and at the same time supporting European sustainability goals.”
On behalf of our institute, the project will be led by Prof. Viktor Mechtcherine (Director) and Dr. Shravan Muthukrishnan (3D concrete printing research group leader). They will oversee joint research initiatives and training programs aimed at enhancing both the sustainability and productivity of 3D concrete printing technologies. This collaboration reflects our institute’s core motto: "Innovate, Collaborate, and Elevate Together."
