KARLOS - the world's first mobile concrete 3D printer

Prof. Mechtcherine on KARLOS, the world's first mobile concrete 3D printer from Putzmeister, which won the bauma Innovation Award in 2016. KARLOS is the result of the transfer of research results and concepts from the CONPrint3D project at TU Dresden to industry. Putzmeister has succeeded in developing a high-precision combination of modern printing technology and a mobile concrete pump that can be used to process standard concrete with a maximum grain size of 8 mm using the additive manufacturing method.
