Abstract
The aim of the project is to identify a material parameter with which the fatigue status of road concrete can be determined simply and accurately. The focus of the investigations lies in particular on the metrological determination of the modulus of elasticity to describe the material stiffness of the road concrete in the course of the fatigue process. For this purpose, three different methods are used that work in three different frequency ranges. The ultrasonic transit time method uses frequencies in the ultrasonic range. The natural frequency method extends to the medium frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Both methods are compared with the standard method of the cyclic indirect tensile test, which works in the low-frequency range.
