C01 - Legal and political challenges of the cyber-physical social road system
TP C01 investigates the normative context of the future road system as a cyber-physical social system (CPsS). It systematically maps out the legal potentials and risks and conceptualizes the political aspects of intelligent traffic infrastructures. This allows for the development of concrete regulatory demands in close interaction with the technological capacities to collect, store (TP B02, B03, B06) and process (TP B07, INF) great amounts of personal and sensor data. TP C01 thereby connects a problem-oriented analysis of the legal and political requirements relevant for the design and implementation of the future road system with the broader challenges of its embedding into the public space from the viewpoint of democratic and constitutional theory.
