A02 - The chassis as data source for the digital twin of the road system
The objective of TP A02 is to investigate a sensor concept for obtaining dynamic wheel loads and motion data from the vehicle-chassis-tire-road system in order to provide the digital twin of the road system with real-time data on loads applied by the vehicle and on the road condition. The data can be used to obtain information on the damage state of the road using the model developed in TP A01. In addition, the data will be used to validate the road sensors (TP A03 and B02) and to derive micro traffic data for the informational level of the digital twin (TP B02 to B06, B08).
