Would you like to not only study abroad but also participate in research yourself? With RISE Worldwide, you’ll spend 10 to 12 weeks over the summer working on a specific project and become part of an international research team.
The scholarship includes a full DAAD scholarship, a lump-sum travel allowance, and insurance coverage.

Want to gain construction site experience while doing good? The International Construction Corps offers students the opportunity to support various charitable or cultural projects through a range of construction and renovation work. An information session will be held online on February 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. These 2–4-week internships in Germany or abroad are perfect for the break between semesters and may even be funded by the LEONARDO-OFFICE SAXONY.

The next information evening will take place on November 14, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. in ABS/1-001/U. Anyone interested in studying or doing an internship abroad—or who just wants to get a general idea of the options—is cordially invited. Anke Nollau (LEONARDO-OFFICE SAXONY) and Maja Liebscher (Erasmus Coordinator for the BIW Faculty) will present the opportunities and will be happy to answer your questions.

Summer Schools in Europe—and, of course, in the winter, too

Is a whole semester abroad or an internship too long for you? How about a summer school? Over a period of 1–6 weeks, you’ll take courses or work on projects, often in international teams. Upon successful completion, you’ll even earn 2–10 credit points. And the best part: You can receive Erasmus funding even for these short stays. Feel free to check the database for potential summer schools.

New (Old) Partnership with the UK

The UK’s withdrawal from the EU also had a negative impact on Erasmus+ exchanges. We are therefore all the more pleased that exchanges with Loughborough University will once again be possible starting in the Summer Semester 2024. Applications are now being accepted through the end of September 2023. Secure one of the two spots—it pays to act fast! To simplify the process of transferring credits for courses taken abroad, the BIW Faculty has developed a new form. You can use this form to have the transferability of the modules in your Learning Agreement reviewed prior to your stay abroad.
