Gain construction site experience and do good at the same time? The International Building Order offers students the opportunity to support various charitable or cultural projects with different construction and renovation work. These 2-4 week internships in Germany or internationally are perfect for the lecture-free period and can even be funded by the Leonardo Office Saxony. There will be an information event online on 11.02.2025 6 pm.

Erasmus information evening

The next information evening will take place on 14.11.2024 at 6.30 pm in ABS/1-001/U. Anyone who is interested in studying or doing an internship abroad or would like to find out more is cordially invited. Anke Nollau (LEONARDO-OFFICE SAXONY) and Maja Liebscher (Erasmus representative of the BIW faculty) will present the possibilities and answer your questions.

Summer schools in Europe - also in winter, of course

A whole semester abroad or an internship is too long for you? How about a summer school? Over a period of between 1-6 weeks, you attend courses or work on projects in often international teams. After successful completion, you can even earn 2-10 credit points at the end. And the best thing is: you can also receive Erasmus funding for such short stays. Have a look at the database for possible summer schools.

New (old) cooperation with the UK

The UK's withdrawal from the EU also had a negative impact on exchanges via Erasmus+. We are therefore all the more pleased that an exchange with Loughborough University will be possible again from summer semester 24. Applications are possible from now until the end of September 2023. Secure one of the two places - it pays to be quick! Here you can find more information about the partner university in the university town of Loughborough.

The BIW Faculty has developed a new form to simplify the recognition of credits earned abroad. You can use it to check the creditability of the modules in your Learning Agreement in advance of your stay abroad.
