Intended for students: This year's BeING Inside project week
Shortly before the start of the semester, this year's BeING Inside practical project week took place for the 5th time in attendance at the TU Dresden. Students from the faculties of electrical engineering and information technology as well as the faculty of economics were there. There were also students from Dresden, Thuringia and Brandenburg. Adapted to the current situation at TU Dresden, the focus this year was on digitizing teaching for the 67 participants: The task was to develop a concept for an online classroom in which students can study the content from the module “Fundamentals of Electrical engineering ”independently. This classroom should be supervised and accompanied by student e-tutors, for whom a requirement profile had to be defined.
In the last week of September, the school and student teams had 5 days to deal intensively with the practical tasks. However, you were not left on your own, but received support from team and specialist coaches. These are students from higher semesters who received special didactic, methodological and content training 3 weeks before the project week. At the end of the week, the interdisciplinary teams presented their concepts to a jury made up of professors and academic staff as well as representatives of the ZiLL - which is known to support digital teaching at TU Dresden.
The jurors received the creative ideas of the school and student groups with great interest. Two student assistants are currently working to implement the best possible results from the team. From the summer semester, the new concept is to be integrated in the existing OPAL classroom and made available to all electrical engineering students. Made by (potential) students for students, so to speak!
