'Sustainable textile production in Bangladesh' - Open symposium and Inaugural Lectures
On 25.03.2020 the Chair for Sustainability Management and Environmental Accounting of TU Dresden, in partnership with Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) and Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) will host a symposium to share the findings and reflections of their 2-year international co-operation aimed at realizing tangible improvement in higher education curriculum in Bangladesh. The inaugural lectures will be given by faculty staff from both AUST and NDUB, showcasing new modules which will be taught as part of their textile engineering and business administration courses offered by the Dhaka-based Universities and are a direct outcome from their participation in the project.
This event will be the culmination of the 5th international cooperation workshop between the Chair of Sustainability Management and Environmental Accounting and their project partners from the two Universities in Bangladesh. This workshop forms part of a DAAD-funded project which aims to introduce the theme of sustainability into the curriculum of University-level textile courses in Bangladesh. The main objective is to build skills for curriculum development and mentoring partners in Bangladesh to raise awareness of sustainability issues for future leaders in the textile industry.
