Schulz and Schulz win a school building competition in Leipzig
Professors Ansgar Schulz and Benedikt Schulz win the competition for the extension of the 24th school in Leipzig together with the former research assistant at the chair, Dominik Schürmann. The background to the architectural competition is the need to develop the listed, Wilhelminian-style school building at Gutspark Paunsdorf into a 3-class elementary school. Architectural and urban development qualities are just as important as the economic implementation and use of the extension. The competition work by Schulz und Schulzz recognized the jury as a coherent, innovative, sustainable and exemplary approach to the existing building. From the point of view of monument protection, the design idea by Professors Ansgar Schulz and Benedikt Schulz is also rated very positively, which suggests the most convincing development of the entire building in the long term.
