Online discussion: 60 minutes "Challenges of the biodiversity crisis for the economy"
According to the World Economic Forum, over 50% of global gross domestic product depends directly on biodiversity and ecosystem services. Almost every company is dependent on nature and is related to biodiversity. However, biodiversity is seriously threatened, which also affects the economy. In the discussion round we bring together scientific knowledge and practical experience in order to show the challenges of the economy with the growing crisis of biodiversity and possible solutions: Why is biodiversity an issue for the economy? What are the risks for companies in connection with the loss of biodiversity? What are the current challenges to overcome the biodiversity crisis? How can companies make a positive contribution to overcoming the biodiversity crisis?
