Examination Office Vacation/Closure Dates
- There will be no office hours on September 23 and 24, 2026
- There will be no office hours from September 28 through October 2, 2026
- There will be no office hours on October 7, 2026
- The Examination Office will be closed from October 12 through October 16, 2026
Submission of certificates, attendance slips, and applications:
Please use the drop box located directly at the Examination Office to submit these documents.
New as of the 2026–27 winter semester
- In the future, only the TU Dresden medical certificate form will be accepted as proof of illness for exam withdrawals.
- A medical certificate from a public health officer must be submitted in the following cases:
- A medical certificate from a public health officer must be submitted starting with the second withdrawal from the first retake attempt.
- Starting with the third withdrawal from the same exam.
- When withdrawing from the second retake attempt.

Transfer of Academic Credits / Exam Results
To have exam results or modules from other universities or from a different degree program recognized, you must submit an application to the Examination Committee or the Examination Office. All information, guidelines, and application forms can be found on the Faculty’s website: Recognition of Academic Achievements.
Examination Committee
The Examination Committee ensures that the provisions of the examination regulations are adhered to. The Examination Committee makes recommendations for reforming the examination regulations, the academic regulations, the module descriptions, and the academic calendar. The Examination Committee decides on cases that deviate from the examination regulations and approves accommodations for students at a disadvantage.

Below you will find information and contact details for your respective Examination Committee:
The Examination Committee typically meets on the second Monday of the month. The next dates are: August 10, 2026; September 7, 2026; October 19, 2026; November 16, 2026, and December 14, 2026. Applications must be submitted to the Examination Committee, signed, at least one week before the respective date. If submitted later, the application will be addressed at the Examination Committee’s next meeting.
